Axar Patel shares a big update on Mitchell StarcHe moved back while tracking the ball but was not in full control of it. He reached out to reach it but couldn’t touch it and fell on his head. The game was stopped for more than 10 minutes and Vipraj Nigam came on as a concussion substitute.“Everyone is fit. Lungi is fit. He has not played two matches because of the six-day rest criterion,” Munaf said ahead of the game against Chennai Super Kings.Ngidi’s return will strengthen the bowling unit. Mitchell Starc also joined the team and played his first match of the season against Rajasthan Royals.Against Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals failed to defend a total of 264 which turned into a record run chase.Munaf said Starc’s presence will help the team.“When there’s a player with a wicket in PowerPlay, the whole scenario changes. 220 or 230 is chased because you’re not able to take wickets in PowerPlay.“When the lead bowler is there and takes a couple of wickets in the PowerPlay, it makes a big difference. The bowling was lacking in the partnerships but that has added up now,” he said.Speaking about David Miller not being part of the playing eleven in the previous game, Munaf explained the team selection.“You can only fit four foreigners in the playing XI. Sahil got injured so we needed an opener and we thought of giving Pathum another chance. We had to play two overseas fast bowlers. So only one could play between Pathum and Miller. We went with Pathum because an opener was required.”
