The Wankhede Stadium erupted into shuffling when it was announced that Rohit Sharma would return to the Mumbai Indians line-up on Monday 4th May. Sharma, who was injured midway through the team’s match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 12, made his comeback against Lucknow Super Giants.
Acting captain Suryakumar Yadav confirmed the decision which was greeted with loud cheers from the crowd. Suryakumar also revealed that Hardik Pandya was not part of the playing XI due to illness.
