Actress Trisha Krishnan celebrated her 43rd birthday with a spiritual visit to the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, one of India’s most revered pilgrimage sites. The actor offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara early Monday morning and chose a quiet and low-key start to his birthday.
Videos of Trisha arriving at the temple soon surfaced on the internet and started going viral on social media. Dressed in a simple white floral attire, she greeted fellow devotees with a smile as she entered the temple premises. The actress hinted at her travel plans a few hours earlier and shared on Instagram late Sunday evening that she was heading to Tirupati, signaling the start of her birthday celebrations.
But what started as a personal spiritual visit quickly took on a political twist online.
Several users on X speculated about the timing of her visit to the temple, linking it to the ongoing furore surrounding the results of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Some suggested that her visit could be related to the election campaign of actor-turned-politician Vijay and his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, which was under intense public scrutiny during the election.
Although there is no evidence to support these claims, speculations have gained ground due to Trish and Vijay’s long association and friendship. The actor has often been associated with Vijay in public discourse, both for their professional collaboration and personal relationship.
According to early trends released by the Election Commission of India, Vijay is currently leading in key constituencies. It is ahead in Perambur by more than 2,990 votes and is also leading in Tiruchirappali (East) by more than 3,299 votes, according to initial counting data. The development further fueled online discussions, with users drawing largely speculative links between Trisha’s visit to the temple and Vijay’s electoral prospects.
This is not the first time that Trisha’s actions have been interpreted through a political lens. Earlier, after casting her vote, the actress shared a post on Instagram which made some users read it as a subtle gesture of support for Vijay. However, such interpretations remain unverified and are largely fueled by internet speculation rather than confirmed statements.
Adding to the ongoing chatter, Trisha and Vijay were recently spotted together at a wedding reception in Chennai in March. Videos of the event went viral and attracted considerable public attention. The appearance came shortly after reports of Vijay’s separation from his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam surfaced online. Reports suggested that the couple filed for divorce in December 2025, although no official detailed statement has been confirmed in the public domain.
