Almost a month after the yes vote council electionscounting of votes will take place at three centers in the district on Monday. Votes polled on April 9 in 14 constituencies will be counted at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), Kalamassery, Union Christian College, Aluva, and Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam. District Collector G. Priyanka, also the District Election Officer, said on Sunday that all arrangements for declaration of results were complete.

Vaults will be opened at 6:30 am in the presence of candidates or their authorized representatives and counting will begin at 8:00 am. Postal tickets will be collected first, then votes will be recorded in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). Counting of EVM votes will begin only after the completion of the postal voting rounds. Initial trends are expected around 10am. The last two rounds of EVM counting will take place only after the completion of postal ballot counting.
