“Career counseling is not just about providing information but also instills confidence and reduces apprehension about course selection,” said Shivakumaraiah, joint secretary, Sree Siddaganga Education Society, Tumakuru.
Addressing the 24th edition of The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counseling Fair 2026 held at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumakuru on Sunday, he said, “According to a survey, 93% of graduates are aware of only seven career options. But there are more than 250 career options available for everyone. It is important to be challenged while seeking career guidance.”
