The world number one cruised to a comfortable 6-1, 6-2 victory and created history by becoming the first player ever to win five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles.The Italian star looked completely in control throughout the final and did not allow Zverev a single break point during the match. Sinner has now beaten the German nine times in a row at ATP meetings, dropping just two sets during his incredible run of titles that includes wins in Paris last year and Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo and Madrid in 2026.After the win, Sinner said the success was the result of years of hard work, discipline and sacrifice. He admitted that staying at the top requires constant hard work and understands that even tough times are a natural part of the sport.“I think there’s a lot of work behind it. I put a lot of determination and sacrifice into it every day. Obviously, it means a lot to me to see these results. At some point the results will drop, which is normal,” said Sinner, as quoted by the ATP website.The 24-year-old also spoke about the importance of self-confidence and having the right people around you. He said he remains focused on getting better every day in training and credited his team for helping him maintain his high standards.“I’m very happy that I continued to believe in myself. I show up every day, at every training session and try to do the right job with the right discipline. To do that, you need to have the right team behind you, which I have. I’m very happy for myself, but also for the team, and that means a lot to all of us,” said Sinner.
