Travis Kelce Cried More Than Taylor Swift: Enter NYC Wedding With 20-Minute Vows, Forest-Themed Décor & More | Today’s news

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce didn’t even catch a glimpse of their much-talked-about wedding, which took place in New York just before the Fourth of July. However, fans have already imagined what it must have been like on the pop sensation’s special day based on some insider notes.

Enter Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce said “I do” at New York’s Madison Square Garden in front of family and close friends.

According to an NBC report, Swift and Kelce said their own vows in person. Swift’s vows are said to have included a bit of her singing, while their “vows were about 20 minutes each” which were read from golden books.

Guests are said to have received embroidered handkerchiefs as their vows left everyone in tears. One attendee told NCB News: “You’d think the bride would cry more, but it was actually Travis who was more emotional.”

Forest theme, secret garden

The couple decided on a forest-themed wedding.

The two guests told the news outlet that they first had to go through a tunnel of pictures of Swift and Kelce over the years, from their childhood days to their relationship. A magical tunnel allegedly led to the couple’s “secret garden”.

Another insider told People that the place “looked like a forest” with fern and tree decorations. The guest area with seats was said to be covered in white paint.

During the ceremony, “Taylor walked down the aisle to the stage where they said ‘I do,'” the source added.

Swift and Kelce’s team previously said in a statement that friend and comedian Adam Sandler officiated their wedding. The couple ditched the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Instead, her “man of honor” was Swift’s brother, Austin Swift. On the other hand, Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce served as best man.

Food served

After the main ceremony, Taylor Swift’s mother welcomed guests in the reception room. A stage was set for the reception, according to People. Paul McCartney reportedly played the Beatles’ I Want to Hold Your Hand. If true, even Stevie Nicks had a performance.

Guests were reportedly served food from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s favorite New York restaurants. It included Italian cuisine, sushi and served bar trays at the lavish wedding venue, People added.

Did Taylor Swift perform at her wedding?

However, the Love Story singer did not perform at the wedding herself, as many thought. She sang rock songs with Kelce, now her husband, at their rehearsal dinner held in town the night before the wedding.
