Prime minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday (April 28, 2026) that Sikkim has outpaced the rest of the country by at least a decade to adopt and create a national template for organic farming.
He also urged people visiting the Himalayan state to allocate 5% of their budget to buy local products, a habit that can go a long way in helping India achieve its goal of self-sufficiency.
