RCB’s dominant win was their sixth win of the season in eight matches, taking their tally in the IPL points table to 12. RCB now boast an NRR of +1.919 – the best this season – slightly ahead of leaders PBKS who have an NRR of +1.333.The crushing defeat at home left DC stuck in seventh place with six points from eight games and suffering their fifth loss of the season. The margin of defeat has also hurt their NRR, which now stands at a poor -1.060, only marginally better than the -1.106 of bottom-run Lucknow Super Giants.The two points also moved RCB ahead of third-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad and fourth-placed Rajasthan Royals, all of whom had 10 points before Monday’s game.Apart from the four playoff spots, the rest of the standings remain unchanged, with Gujarat Titans (8 points) in fifth place, followed by Chennai Super Kings (6 points), DC, Kolkata Knight Riders (5 points), Mumbai Indians (4 points) and LSG (4 points).
