A meeting of domestic workers held in Mysuru on Monday highlighted their plight and urged the authorities to provide them with social and economic security.
The Karnataka State Domestic Workers Association, represented by the All India United Trade Union Center Mysuru District Committee (AIUTUC) and the All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan (AIMSS), which convened the meeting, presented a petition to the Mysuru Labor Inspector seeking to meet their demands, including the immediate establishment of a Domestic Workers Welfare Board.
