Tribal documentation camp in Nilambur on 11 July

A tribal documentation camp will be held in Nilambur on July 11 to provide basic documents and services to tribals living in Nilambur forests and forest fringes. The camp is planned at Manavedan Government School.

The meeting held in Perinthalmanna on Saturday (July 4, 2026) outlined the plans for the camp. Sub-Collector Sakshi Mohan presided over the meeting.

Officials said the camp aimed to provide multiple services under one roof, including birth, caste and income certificates, Aadhaar services, bank account opening, voter card, ration card, MGNREGA job cards, unique health card (UHID) and access to specialized medical examinations.

Heads of departments have been appointed as nodal officers to ensure smooth running.

Ms. Mohan said that a review meeting of the nodal officers and a separate meeting of the organizing committee would be held at Nilambur on Tuesday (July 7, 2026).
