Rajasthan Royals (RR) youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is the biggest talk of the town when it comes to IPL 2026.
The 15-year-old has been one of the most consistent batsmen in IPL 2026 so far, amassing 357 runs from eight matches at a strike rate of 234.86.
Ahead of Rajasthan Royals’ match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday, the teenager has scored two fifties this season. To the two fifties he scored earlier, he added a 36-ball hundred against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.
An AI chip in Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s bat?
Pakistani cricket analyst Dr. Nauman Niaz begins to believe that an AI chip has been placed in Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s bat.
“When Sooryavanshi smashed four sixes in the very first match against Praful Hinge, what was left in the power bowler? His strike count is over 200,” said a member of Pakistan’s Smash It show.
“I really wonder what kind of kid that was. I think people need to check him at this point. Just like you go through doping tests, he needs to check if he used an AI chip in his bat. It doesn’t look human. He’s unreal. What a player! His strikeout number around 200 made me think he was playing slowly. It should have been 300.” Dr. Nauman
“When you turn 18, your body changes. Your shoulder starts to open up. You build your triceps or biceps and your core gets stronger.”
“And Sooryavanshi is 16. When he was born, Virat Kohli was already a world champion. If you see Sooryavanshi, he has great wrist position and a soft arc of the bat,” he explained.
Overall, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played 15 matches in IPL 2025 and 2026 seasons and scored 609 runs at a strike rate of 222.26. Many former cricketers, including Kris Srikkanth, believe that Vaibhav should be quickly included in the senior Indian cricket team.
Earlier this year, the Bihar cricketer was part of the Indian team that won the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Vaibhav amassed 439 runs from seven matches, including a match-winning 175 from 80 balls in the final against England.
