The Kerala Government Medical Association (KGMOA), while welcoming the government’s efforts to offer the best treatment to snakebite victims, has asked it to improve the situation of human resources (HR) and other infrastructural facilities in hospitals so that administration of snake venom and other protocol-based complementary treatments can be well managed.
KGMOA said the public must be educated about the serious practical and safety issues that arise when anti-snake venom (ASV) is administered to a snakebite victim.
