At the call to bat, CSK was the first to send a commanding 207 powered by a a brilliant unbeaten century by Sanju Samson. He anchored the innings from start to finish, providing stability in the middle overs before accelerating in the death stages to give CSK a strong finish.
In response, MI never recovered from the early setbacks and were bowled out for 104 in 19 overs. The breakthrough came thanks to CSK’s spin, led by Akeal Hosein, who took four wickets to dismantle the batting line-up. Noor Ahmad also played a key supporting role with two wickets.
