Four cheetahs landed at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru from South Africa on Friday evening. These cheetahs will be housed in the Bannerghatta National Park on the outskirts of the city and will soon be available to the public.
Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister Eshwar B. Khandre received the cheetahs at the KIA. He instructed officials to closely monitor the health of the cheetahs and ensure that they acclimatize well. These cheetahs will be quarantined for 30 days, checked for infections and monitored before moving to the national park.
