Trump at TPUSA Rally: In a wide-ranging speech to a conservative rally in Arizona, Donald Trump revealed that US forces will enter Iran with Tehran’s blessing to dig up the radioactive remains of its bombed nuclear program, while hanging new geopolitical gambits on Cuba, the Strait of Hormuz and the government’s UFO files.
Trump’s ‘Nuclear Dust’ Plan: Excavators, Iran’s Blessing, and the Road Back to the US
Donald Trump used Friday’s Turning Point Action rally in Arizona to describe in unusually frank terms how the United States intends to recover the radioactive debris left behind by last year’s Operation Midnight Hammer, the US military strike that targeted Iran’s underground nuclear facilities.
“We’re going to get the dust,” the New York Post quoted Trump as telling the massive crowd to cheers. The remarks confirmed what many analysts had speculated: that the destruction of Iran’s deeply buried enrichment sites, some of which were built more than 100 meters underground to withstand aerial bombardment, left behind remnants of highly enriched uranium that Washington now wants to physically remove.
Trump suggested his search method was nothing if not live. “We’re going to get it by going with Iran with a lot of diggers,” the NYP report further quotes. “We need the biggest excavators you can imagine. We’re going to go at it with Iran. We’re going to get it. We’re going to take it home to the U.S. very soon.”
The disclosure is significant: it means not only that Iran has agreed to joint reconstruction on its own soil, but also that Washington DC believes enough physical remains of the nuclear program survived the airstrikes to merit a full excavation.
It should be noted that Iran has not yet released an official confirmation of these statements.
Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to avert the moment Iran signs a peace deal
Trump also clarified the conditions under which the US naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical choke points for oil supplies, will be lifted. Speaking to reporters about his arrival in Arizona, he was blunt: “Once the deal is signed.”
The statement comes as Iran said on Friday it was reopening the strait, although US military forces continue to detain Iranian oil tankers and block cargo ships in transit. The standoff has rattled global energy markets, and Trump’s comments suggest Washington intends to keep the pressure on until a formal deal is signed.
Trump teases release of UFO documents: ‘A lot of very interesting documents’
In a twist that pleased some of the audience, Trump revealed that a government-wide review of classified files related to UFOs, ordered earlier this year and directed through Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, has already produced remarkable material.
“This process is well under way and I have to say that we have found a lot of very interesting documents,” Trump said. “The first versions will start very, very soon. So you can go out and see if the phenomenon is correct. You will figure it out. Let me know, let me know, we had a lot of questions.”
Describing the issue as “something that really blows the mind,” Trump offered no other specifics but signaled that an unveiling was imminent.
Another Cuba? Trump Suggests Military Action After Venezuela Playbook
Perhaps the most geopolitically charged moment of the evening came when Trump drew a direct line between the US military strike that removed and captured Venezuelan leader Nicolàs Maduro and what he hinted was coming for Cuba.
“Very soon this great power will also bring a day of 70 years and waiting,” Trump told the audience. “It’s called a new dawn for Cuba. We’re going to help them in Cuba.” The NYP cited Trump’s statement at the TPUSA rally in Arizona.
