A government school built with CSR funds was inaugurated in Vijayapur, Karnataka

A new government school building in Kotyal village near Tikota in Vijayapura district of Karnataka was built with CSR donations. On July 3, the building was inaugurated by MB Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries and District Director.
Mr. Patil said the well-equipped school building was constructed using state-of-the-art technology at a total cost of ₹ 3.25 crore on an area of 7,000 sq.ft. An 800 square foot renovation of the old building was also completed.
Well-equipped rooms have been prepared for the convenience of students of classes 1 to 10. Separate rooms for STEM Lab and “Nali-Kali” activities have been built to encourage innovation and activity-based learning among children. The school has 135 sets of new furniture, a toilet block with 10 units for boys and girls, a modern kitchen and a spacious dining hall.
“Since Kotyal has a well-equipped school, children do not have to go to Tikota for higher classes,” the minister said.
The school was built with Corporate Social Responsibility funding from Bangalore International Airport Limited. BIAL Managing Director and CEO Hari Murar, CFO Bhaskar Anandarao, land donors Kamala Murugesh Nirani, Anandarao Kulkarni, Anilkumar Patil, VS Patil, local representatives and villagers were among those who attended the inauguration.
