India vs. England first T20I washed out

The opening T20I at Chester-le-Street on Wednesday ended without a result after persistent rain prevented England from starting their chase.India posted a competitive 189/7 in 20 overs before heavy rain arrived at the end of the innings. Although the players waited until the deadline for a possible five-match duel, the rain did not let up and the referees eventually abandoned the game.

Indian batters shine
