The MDMK candidate for the Sirkazhi (reserved) constituency will also contest on the DMK’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol, party general secretary Vaiko said on Wednesday.
Four places allocated
MDMK won four seats in the DMK alliance. The party had earlier announced that three of its candidates would contest on the rising sun symbol, while one would contest on its own symbol. However, the party has now revised its stand and said that Sirkazhi’s candidate, R. Senthilselval, will also fight the election on the DMK’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol.
