The Association of Commercial Building Owners sought the immediate implementation of the Model (MTA) Act, which was approved by the Union’s government in 2020.
On Thursday (September 18), which will appeal to the media here, the bearers of the State Committee of the Association stated that MTA has already been carried out in 15 countries, but unfortunately it has not yet been enacted in Kerala. This failure has led to the daily increase in the number of unresolved cases related to the lease in the Kerala courts.
They said the idea that MTA was an anti-coin was in fact incorrect. Any impartial analysis would show that ACT helped create a new, mutually dropped frame and business framework.
About 80% of commercial facilities and other businesses in Kerala work from rented buildings. However, the authorities constantly ignored the needs of buildings and at the same time provided special privileges to local and large foreign business entities, the wearers said.
The Association also urged the State Government to consider several other requirements, including the provision of exemption in the area of registration for land obtained for the purpose of building commercial real estate, solving imbalances at real estate tax rates and a complete collection of “one -time” tax.
Association State PP Alikoya and General Secretary Ashokan Vettil were present.
