B. Raghupathy of Naam Tamilar Katchi became the first candidate to file his nomination in Udhagamandalam assembly segment on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination, Mr. Raghupathy said he would work to improve tourism facilities in Udhagamandalam to international standards, come up with solutions to prevent wildlife from entering human settlements and agricultural areas and also include the Badaga community in the SC/ST category.
