Anil Kumar Thippannavar bagged several honours, including the Chief Minister’s Sword, at the parade of the 46th batch of police sub-inspectors undergoing training at the Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) in Mysuru on Sunday (March 29).
Other awards won by Mr. Thippannavar include Best Trainee Award, Chief Minister’s Trophy, DG and IGP Baton awards and a cash prize of ₹10,000 instituted by former Director General of Police BN Garudachar.
Best female intern
The Best Woman Trainee award went to Shambavi G., who also received the Home Minister’s Trophy and ₹10,000, founded by Mr. Garudachar and his wife Vatsala Garudachar.
Sunil M won Best Outdoor Trainee and DG and IGP’s Cup, while Dasharath CK won Best Rifle Shooting and Sridhar LK Best Pistol Shooting.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who presented the awards after watching the parade, also announced a cash reward of ₹ 2 lakh to the KPA employees.
Home Minister G. Parameshwara, Mysuru District In-Charge Minister HC Mahadevappa, Animal Husbandry and Animal Husbandry Minister K. Venkatesh, Director General of Police MA Saleem, former Minister Tanveer Sait and TS Srivatsa, MLA, also participated in the parade in which 327 police sub-inspectors participated.
