
PM Modi hails J&K’s historic Ranji Trophy win NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team for winning their first ever Ranji Trophy, terming it a proud and emotional moment for the region. He said the victory, which came after almost 70 years, reflected the hard work and dedication of the players and brought joy to the people across the Union Territory.

This unprecedented achievement is the result of years of continuous efforts by the players,” he said.He also lauded captain Paras Dogra for his leadership and mentioned young bowler Aaqib Nabi, whose 60 wickets grabbed attention across the country. “This win has thrilled the players and the coaching staff as well as the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.Modi said the win will inspire more youngsters to take up sports. “People of Jammu and Kashmir have a huge passion for sports.
