India suffered a huge setback ahead of the semi-final match at the **Thomas Cup 2026**. The Indian team, which defeated Chinese Taipei to reach the top four, will be without the services of its top singles player Lakshya Sen.
India will face a tricky French side in the semi-finals of the tournament. Lakshya Sen, who was top seeded in the quarter-finals against world number six Chou Tienchen, suffered an elbow injury during the match and was subsequently ruled out of the tournament’s semi-finals.

“Lakshya is dealing with a swollen playing hand, especially around the elbow, after his fall in yesterday’s match against Chou Tienchen. He is also dealing with blisters on his feet. This is definitely a setback for India,” Vimal Kumar told India Today.
