Greeting the people of Telangana ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin said the festival would bring “happiness, success and progress in every sphere of life for the people of Telangana”.
“Eid is a time to share happiness and celebrate together,” he said, even as he pointed out that in the month of Ramzan, through fasting and worship, people develop a sense of empathy for their loved ones and those in need, and receive divine blessings and rewards.
“People of Telangana have always celebrated Eid and other festivals together in harmony, which is a strong example of our culture and brotherhood. This tradition is the guarantee of our continued progress,” he said.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the state is strengthening its secular values. Quoting from Mr. Reddy’s Dawat-e-Iftar speech on March 15, he said the CM affirmed the commitment to provide equal opportunities to all citizens.
