Bishwanath Sinha takes over as Kerala Chief Secretary
Senior bureaucrat Bishwanath Sinha took over as Chief Secretary of Kerala at a function held at the Darbar Hall in the Secretariat on Tuesday. The 1992-batch IAS officer took over from A. Jayathilak, who retired as the state’s chief secretary on Tuesday.
The state government bid farewell to the outgoing chief secretary at a function at the Darbar Hall. Chief Minister VD Satheesan and Industries Minister PK Kunhalikutty were present on the occasion. Additional Chief Secretary Rajan N. Khobragade also retired from service.
The Chief Minister handed over mementos of the State Government to the retiring officers. Mr. Sinha served as Home Secretary before being elevated to the post of Chief Secretary. He has two years of service left.
