Two members of a wedding party were killed and 21 others injured when a mini-truck overturned after one of its tires burst near Kondapur in Nirmal district on Thursday (March 12, 2026).
The overloaded mini truck was carrying about 23 members of a wedding party from Soanpalli village in Sirikonda mandal of Adilabad district to Armoor in Nizamabad district when the mishap occurred.
All the injured persons were taken to the Government General Hospital in Nirmal town. Two of them, identified as Lakshman (60) and Tulasidas (38), succumbed to their injuries shortly afterwards. The remaining people were treated in hospital. The condition of two of them was stated to be serious.
Meanwhile, Nirmal Superintendent of Police G. Janaki Sharmila visited the Nirmal Government Hospital and inquired about the medical condition of the injured persons from the doctors.
