
No Pakistani players found a buyer in the women’s auction for The Hundred held on Wednesday 11 March. Left-handed batsman Muneeba Ali, right-arm fast bowler Diana Baig, left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal and Pakistan captain Fatima Sana have all registered for the draft with a base price of £15,000 each.
However, only Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal, the top-rated bowler in the women’s T20Is, were selected for the final phase of the auction. Despite being shortlisted, neither was announced during the bidding process. As a result, all four Pakistani players remained unsold and lost their contracts for the upcoming season of the 100-ball tournament.

Earlier, reports suggested that the IPL-owned Hundred teams could avoid signing Pakistani players, sparking controversy and criticism, including from England captain Harry Brook. EYES NOW ON HUNDREDS OF MEN’S AUCTIONS
Several Pakistani players are set to feature in the men’s auction of The Hundred, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 12. A total of 63 Pakistani cricketers have registered for the auction, but only 14 were selected for the final bidding process.
Prominent names include the fast bowling trio of Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and all-rounders Shadab Khan and Saim Ayub, who all entered with a base price of £100,000.
Other players in contention include Abrar Ahmed with a base price of £75,000 along with Mohammad Amir and Zaman Khan at the same price. Imad Wasim and Usama Mir set their base price at £50,000, while Akif Javed and Salman Mirza registered with a base price of £31,000.
Several Pakistani players on the auction list have featured in The Hundred before. Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi both represented the Welsh Fire in previous seasons, while Imad Wasim played for the Trent Rockets.
Mohammad Amir earlier made it to Oval Invincibles and Shadab Khan represented Birmingham Phoenix. Leg-spinner Usama Mir also featured for Manchester Originals in the previous edition of the tournament.
Meanwhile, players like Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Akif Javed and Salman Mirza are yet to make their debut in the 100-ball competition.
