In an emotional post on Instagram, Rinku said that he had never gone so many days without talking to him and could not imagine life without his guidance. He remembered his father’s lesson that duty always comes first, which motivated him to keep playing. While fulfilling this dream, Rinku said that every moment of happiness will still be incomplete without his father.
(I have never spent so many days without talking to you. I don’t know how life will go on without you but I know I will need you every step of the way),” wrote Rinku.
The heartbreaking news came when Rinku Singh was with the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. After learning about his father’s death, he flew from Chennai to his hometown Aligarh to perform the last rites. The Indian batsman looked numb with grief as he helped carry his father’s mortal remains.
“You taught me that duty comes first, so on the field I just tried to make your dream come true. Now that your dream has come true, I just wish you were here with me.” wrote to Rinka.
“Har chhoti badi khushi mein aapki kami khalegi. I will miss you a lot, papa a lot, a lot,” added Rinku.
