Do you believe Bumrah is the best T20 bowler in the world?
In a BBC podcast, Anderson admitted that Bumrah’s ability is so exceptional that other bowlers may struggle to replicate what he did.“The thing about Bumrah is, I look at him and I’m like, I don’t think you can learn anything from him. Like, he’s an absolute madman. There’s not a single bowler in the world in any format, male or female, who can bowl six yorkers out of six and absolutely bowl it every time. Even one of the yorkers, he went over the ball (against England he was so fast he was slow) in his last ball. and one slowball yorker like you can’t hit them anywhere,” Anderson raved about Bumrah.Anderson also pointed out that England’s batsmen dealt with Bumrah as well as they could and chose to play him cautiously rather than risk going after him.The veteran also felt that the likes of Jacob Bethell and Sam Curran reacted correctly by simply trying to survive Bumrah’s turns rather than targeting him.“England did really well to get six (balls) out of the hole like they squeezed the ball. They actually bowled it quite well because they thought we knew we couldn’t get boundaries from it or it was going to be really hard to get boundaries from it.”“So we’ll just take our chances against the other two at the other end. And at the end they saw that Shivam Dube bowled in the last over went for 22 and Jofra Archer slapped him. I know the game was over but he was trying to bowl a yorker and missed by a fair amount. So it’s just ridiculous skill. And there’s definitely no one better than him in T20, crickerson.” he explained. With praise of this magnitude coming from a fast bowling legend like Anderson, Bumrah will head into the final with even more confidence as India look to lift the T20 World Cup trophy.
