The art of manifestation is considered beautiful by many and Praful Hinge is one of them. After playing just one T20 against Rajasthan Royals before his IPL debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad, not much has been heard or said about the pacer. But on Monday, April 13, he proved why good things can come through manifestation.
IPL 2026, SRH vs RR: HIGHLIGHTS | SCORECARD
The 24-year-old bowled a sensational spell of four for 34 in his four overs when he broke the rear of the RR chaser at Uppal. Pacitor Vidarbha dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi off his second ball he bowled and went on to dismiss Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorious to create history.
He came back again and dismissed RR skipper Riyan Parag to leave RR reeling at 9 for five in three overs and effectively seal the win for his side. But the whole game changed with Sooryavanshi’s wicket and the confident pacer said he had planned it well in advance of the match.
Hinge said he had planned to throw out the misshapen batter with the ejector and had told several people beforehand.
“The best was the first wicket – Sooryavanshi’s – because he is in form. I told 2-3 people beforehand that I will get him on the first ball, either a bouncer or something.”
“I just wanted his wicket on the first ball. That was the plan. Our bowling coach Varun bhaiya helped me a lot and I thank everyone who supported me,” said Hinge.
MANIFESTING KID
Hinge has built a solid reputation in domestic cricket, taking 27 wickets in 10 first-class matches at an average of 26.7, underscoring his discipline as a seamer.
However, his journey started with tennis ball cricket and how his constant persuasion convinced his father to take up cricket.
“I started playing cricket when I was about 8 years old. I didn’t even know what leather-ball cricket was. When I was 13, I told my dad I just wanted to join a club. He turned me down two or three times, saying I was too young. But then he finally took me and I just kept going. Now that I’m at this stage, it feels really good.”
“I want to dedicate this award to my family. The sacrifices they made for me – I’m so happy,” Hinge said.
However, Hinge’s greatest strength seems to be the way he has expressed himself about the big things in life, including his debut. Temper revealed that he has made a mark on his IPL debut and will take four or five wickets in his first match.
“I showed it last year. If I made my debut, I wanted to get 4-5 wickets and I wanted to dominate the power play. I believe I will show,” Hinge said.
SRH now find themselves with a new weapon in their arsenal in the form of Hinge and will face CSK in their next home match on April 18.
