Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Center of Excellence in Nutraceuticals (COEN) on March 9 at Bio 360 Life Sciences Park.
V. Sasi, Chirayinkeezhu, MLA, will preside over the function.
The center was established by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) with the support of Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC), Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). The initiative aims to strengthen research, innovation and technological development in the rapidly growing nutrition sector.
The Center of Excellence has started operations at the Institute of Advanced Virology campus at Bio 360 Life Sciences Park. In addition, five acres of land have been allocated within the park to develop dedicated infrastructure for the facility.
