Officials of Anjuman-e-Islam in Kalghatgi town of Dharwad district have set an example for others to follow.
The nine-day Grama Devi Jatra Mahotsava is held in the city, where a large number of people gather at the site.
On Wednesday, officials of the city’s Anjuman-e-Islam Committee participated in various rituals of the annual fair and offered offerings to Hindu deities.
The officials not only participated in the rituals but also arranged for food to be served to the devotees who visited the Grama Devi temple.
