
The new idol of Sri Sharadamba sahitha Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya will be installed at Paladhara-Panchadhara, sub-temple of Srisailam temple, at 10 am on March 8.
Srisailam temple executive director M. Srinivasa Rao said that as per the proposal of the temple’s Vaidya committee, the consecration ceremony will be held for three days starting Friday (March 6). Yagashala pravesham, Ganapati Pooja, Punyahavachanam and other rituals will be held on Friday morning.
On the second day too, various rituals will be held throughout the day. Adhivasa Homam, Purnahuthi and other rituals will be held on March 8, after which the idol will be consecrated.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao invited the devotees to attend the event.
