A social media user shared a viral Instagram video on Twitter (now X). The video shows a pool party where a DJ is playing hard and young men and women are dancing. The caption associated with the clip sparked debate.
“Most of them go to Bangalore from small towns and villages to study. Finding a good woman for marriage will become more and more difficult in the future,” reads the headline.
The viral video was originally posted by DJ Rahul Avadhani on his Instagram profile. It has garnered nearly 3 million views so far.
One user X responded: “From childhood these sepoys watch movies and other media that define enjoyment so it’s obvious. We are a third world nation with a western mindset, the youth will also end up the same way, only no, they just worship what is mediatized and considered progressive.”
“Kannadigas hate these migrants for this reason!!! They are not migrants; they are aliens to our state and city. These girls show themselves in or outside Bengaluru, do all the dirty work and marry the simple yet ruin their lives!!!” another user commented.
Another user wrote, “I’ll tell you the harsh truth. Normal pakka Bengaluru girls never do this. Parents taught girls and boys proper sanskara. These girls never do bad things and never insult themselves or their parents.”
“But the girls and boys who migrate to our city are vulgar. They turn out to be Bangalore girls and boys. Fake people,” the user added.

The Gender Bias Debate
Meanwhile, some users objected to the post. A number of them accused users of gender bias.
“If you’re looking for a ‘good woman’, maybe start by being a good man. Cities don’t change people’s values; exposure only raises standards. Education and independence aren’t red flags, they’re green. The future isn’t harder for marriage… It’s just harder for a little effort,” wrote one.
“There are also shirtless men in the video. Most of them come to Bangalore from small towns and villages to study. Finding a good man for marriage will become increasingly difficult in the future,” one user wrote.
“I have never seen this morality and RR sanskaar on a video from Thailand or Bali of a group of boys or men…and these men would do much more than just dance and drink. The problem is not about western culture. The problem is that it was meant for men only. Hindu Sanskaar for women,” came another.
Another user wrote: “There are men out there too… If you said that finding a good man or woman is hard and will get harder”, I would agree. Be neutral. Show both sides… I can clearly see where society is going, but don’t lie by only showing one gender.”
