The government on Sunday (June 28, 2026) “categorically” rejected Pakistan’s “baseless allegations” of India’s involvement in the attack on security installations in Karachi.

Pakistan claims to have conducted ground operations, attacking along the Afghan border; 29 militants killed

“We have seen Pakistani reports making baseless allegations against India in connection with the recent incident in Karachi. We categorically reject them. Instead of pointing fingers, Pakistan would do better to look inward, take credible steps (against) the terrorist infrastructure on its soil and get rid of its propensity to rely on terrorism as an instrument of state policy,” External Affairs Ministry official Randhir Jaiswal said.

An attack in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar district on Saturday killed at least three and injured four Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), the DGISPR there said. “The attackers tried to breach the perimeter security after the explosion at the main gate of the camp,” it said.

After Saturday’s attack, Pakistan’s Information Minister Mohsin Naqvi said: “These terrorists are normal terrorists. India supports them.”

Pakistan was rocked this weekend by multiple terrorist attacks that spread from Karachi to Balochistan, with groups such as Jamaatul Ahrar and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) reportedly involved.

During June, Pakistan conducted operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh regions against groups it linked to India.

The BLA said it carried out an attack on a Pakistani military camp in Ziarat, Balochistan. In a press release, she promised to continue such attacks.
