Teacher training from May 22
Holiday training for all teachers from lower primary to high schools in the state will be organized offline in two phases.
The training will take place on May 22nd and 23rd and then again on May 25th and 26th.
Although a five-day training program is organized for teachers every summer, financial constraints have led the ministry to consider providing training offline.
However, teachers’ organizations emphasized the need for offline training, although it was limited as textbooks were revised and assessment patterns were revised.
In the case of Class X, the teachers received training for teaching Part I of the textbooks, but no training for Part II.
Apart from this, class XI textbooks have been revised this year, so once schools reopen, it is necessary for teachers to familiarize themselves with the new content for effective classroom instruction.
The preparation of the module and the training of resource groups for the teacher empowerment program have been delayed more than usual due to elections, declaration of results and other administrative processes.
The National Education Policy (NEP) advocates 50 hours of continuing professional development for teachers per year. Summer training for teachers in the state almost fulfills the goal of NEP.
