The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against the retired Navy captain for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The case alleges that retired captain Raminder Singh Wadhwa acquired movable and immovable property in his own name and in the name of his family members. According to the agency, the alleged disproportionate assets are worth over ₹3 crore.

The accused was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Navy on July 1, 1989. He was promoted to the rank of Commander on December 16, 2006 and later to Captain (the equivalent of a colonel in the Army) on August 6, 2016. He retired from service on May 31, 2024.
