Ahead of Sammakka Saralamma Jatara, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation announced on Friday (January 16, 2025) that it will deliver gold (jaggery) prasadam to devotees who cannot travel to Medaram.

The biennial jatara is scheduled to be held from January 28 in Medaram. TGSRTC reiterated that thousands of devotees gather at the tribal goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma and offer gold as part of a long-standing custom. Officials said the corporation is aware of the difficulties faced by elderly devotees, those facing health problems and others who are unable to travel and hence has developed a plan to deliver prasadam to homes.

The transport juggernaut will collaborate with the endowment department and devotees will receive a sealed prasadam package containing a small golden offering, photos of goddesses, jaggery, turmeric and kumkum for ₹299. Devotees can book the service through the TGSRTC Logistics website or at designated TGSRTC logistics counters across the state.
