Parts of Hyderabad receive moderate rainfall on June 24

Parts of Hyderabad received rain on Wednesday night after a mostly cloudy day on Wednesday evening.

Drizzle started around 7 pm in several areas including Secunderabad, Begumpet, Nacharam, Uppal, Nagole and neighboring localities and continued till night. As predicted by the India Meteorological Department, the city saw cloudy skies since morning.

Rain also affected sporting activity and briefly disrupted the Telangana T20 League cricket match between Nalgonda Knights and Karimnagar Diamonds at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.

The highest rainfall recorded at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was 26 mm, followed by 17 mm at Nadergul, 15.5 mm at Adibatla, 11 mm at Hayathnagar, 10.8 mm at Nagola, 7 mm at Kistareddipet and 5 mm at Filmnagar.
