Two 7-magnitude earthquakes hit Venezuela within minutes, tsunami warning issued | Today’s news

A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck Venezuela on Wednesday evening, the US Geological Survey said. The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers and its epicenter was 16 kilometers southwest of the city of Morón, Venezuela.

Massive tremors were felt minutes after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit parts of Venezuela, including the capital Caracas. The epicenter of the magnitude 7.1 earthquake was west of the municipality of Morón, located along the country’s Caribbean coast, about 168 kilometers (104 mi) west of Caracas at a depth of 13 kilometers.

The US Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a tsunami warning for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
