‘True biological insult’: Why tech millionaire Bryan Johnson proposed one trip in 3 months after his tour of India | Today’s news
Biohacker Bryan Johnson, known for his ongoing experiment to reverse his biological age, advised limited international travel in a recent social media post. Based on his biometric research, he suggested one trip per quarter and argued that multiple trips could seriously affect an individual’s recovery and it could take weeks to recover from travel fatigue.
On social media platform X, the “age-reverse” CEO wrote: “Travel internationally once a quarter, max.” Arguing that more frequent travel is detrimental to biological health, he added: “I would suggest this after extensive measurement of my biomarkers while traveling to China, India and Australia.
He went on to note that it takes weeks to recover from the resulting exhaustion, saying, “It’s a real biological insult. One trip takes weeks to fully recover.”
To prove his point, the centenarian spends over $2 million every year on longevity to reverse aging, he came to these conclusions based on many “biomarkers”. According to the tech entrepreneur, these findings were based on blood glucose (CGM), sleep timing, deep sleep, cortisol rhythm, melatonin rhythm and several other factors.
The 48-year-old tech millionaire attached his June 6 post recommending that one international trip per quarter is a reasonable balance, while also providing a snapshot of his biometric research from international travel. below are the statistics he mentioned about the time it takes for the body to recover from travel exhaustion.
