Bishwanath Sinha is expected to be the next Chief Secretary of Kerala

The Kerala Cabinet has decided to appoint senior bureaucrat Bishwanath Sinha as the next Chief Secretary of Kerala, it has been learned. Mr. Sinha is currently Additional Principal Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Current Chief Secretary A Jayathilak is scheduled to retire on June 30.

Mr. Sinha, a 1991-batch IAS head of department, brings some administrative experience to the office. He also served as Resident Commissioner of Kerala in New Delhi.

Mr Sinha has two more years of service left and is due to retire in 2028.
