Olivia Rodrigo Announces All-Female Daisy Chain Fields Festival With Chappelle Roan, Stevie Nicks | Today’s news
Olivia Rodrigo has announced the launch of the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival, a new music event that will highlight female artists across genres and generations.
Set to take place on August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California, the festival will feature an all-female lineup headlined by Rodrigo herself. The singer-songwriter unveiled the event this week, positioning it as a celebration of women in music at a time when female artists continue to dominate the charts, festival bills and streaming platforms.
Rodrigo is joined in the line-up by a number of notable acts including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski and global girl group Katseye. The festival will also feature The Breeders, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Die Spitz, Eli, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not for Radio.
In addition to the main line-up, Rodrigo announced several special guests at the event. They include Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks, Karen O of the band Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan.
The festival marks the next major step in Rodrigo’s career outside of recording and touring. Since breaking through with her debut album Sour in 2021, the Grammy-winning artist has become one of the most influential figures in pop music today. Daisy Chain Fields is expected to further raise her profile as an organizer and advocate for the representation of women in the music industry.
In addition to the music program, the festival will be a partner of a number of organizations focused on social and health problems of women and families. Participating groups include Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeForm, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.
Festival organizers have opened pre-sale registration via the event’s official website, with further ticketing details to be announced in the coming weeks.
The announcement adds another major event to the 2026 festival calendar, bringing together an intergenerational line-up of established stars and up-and-coming artists on a platform dedicated exclusively to women in music.
