Minister of State for Home Vangalapudi Anitha along with family offered prayers at ‘Padamara Veedhi Ganganamma Jatara’ in Eluru on Monday.
The Home Minister was felicitated at the temple by Jatara committee presidents Chode Balasubrahmanyam and Chode Venkaratnam. As part of the festivities, Ms. Anitha visited the decorated ‘mandapams’ and offered prayers to Sri Ganganamma, Sri Mahalakshmamma, Sri Vinukonda Ankamma and Sri Pothuraja Babu and presented sares (offerings) to the deities.
Eluru MLA Badeti Chanti and Mayor Sheikh Noorjahan accompanied the minister and presented the saree to the presiding deity and participated in special pujas.
Several public representatives and officials were present during the visit, including Eluru Municipal Corporation co-op member SMR Pedababu, RTC Regional Chairman Reddi Appalanaidu, Eluru Agriculture Market Committee Chairman Mamillapalli Parthasaradhi, temple priest Niranjan and other local leaders.
