
Deputy Chief Minister Karnataka DK Shivakumar announced on Monday the opening plan of the development of the Greater Bengalur area, under which the initiative will oversee five new corporations.
“The development of the Greater Bengalur area starts from today’s day for which five corporations are formed. A very higher official will be appointed as a commissioner,” Shivakumar said, starting a development plan.
As part of the new plan, it restructured the administrative aspect of Greater Bengaluru to ensure better services. Five new corporations were created, including Bengaluru East, Bengaluru West, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru South and Bengalur Central.
Five new Bengalur corporations were created and designed to ensure targeted growth and effective management, Shivakumar said on Sunday in post X.
“According to the Bengalur Office, we created 5 city corporations: Bengaluru East, Bengaluru West, Bengaluru north, Bengalur to South and Bengaluru Central. The purpose of division into 5 urban corporations is to provide better services and develop.

While Siddarahaiah is chairman of Ex-Officio, Vice-Chairman of the Chief Minister for Development of Bengalur, the Karnataka government, DK Shivakumar, will be vice-chairman of Ex-Offiio.
On 21. August, the Law on Administration of Public Affairs (amendment) was approved in the Legislative Council, after Shivakumar submitted the bill.
The Legislative Council approved the bill after a short discussion. A few days ago it was approved in the legislative assembly.
At the beginning of May, the Chief Minister of Karnataka Sidadaraah announced the implementation of the Public Bengalur Affairs Act and replaced Bruhat Bengagar Palike (BBMP) GBA.
