The School of Planning and Architecture, University of Mysore (UoM), in collaboration with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, conducted a program on de-addiction and the imperatives of drug avoidance on 8 December.
It was part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. As part of the initiative, a special lecture on “The Art of Positive Thinking and Quitting” was held.
NK Lokanath, Vice-Chancellor, UoM, inaugurated the program and Sachin Parah, Corporate Trainer from Mumbai was the keynote speaker.
The students also pledged to contribute to nation building and shun drugs and intoxicants in an effort to build a healthy society and country. MK Savitha, University Registrar, Rajyogini BK Lakshmi, Chief Coordinator, Brahma Kumaris, Mysuru Sub Zone and others were present.
