Telangana DGP Shivadhar Reddy on Friday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Global Summit to be held at Future City in Kandukur mandal of Ranga Reddy district on December 8 and 9.
The DGP held discussions with other DGPs Mahesh Bhagwat and DS Chauhan, DG Fire Vikram Singh Mann, TG IIC MD Shashank and IG Ramesh Reddy on security and logistical arrangements.
The event will be attended by foreign delegates on the first two days, followed by the general public on the following four days.
“A three-tier security system will be put in place. More than 1,000 CCTV cameras are installed around the venue and will be linked to the central police control room,” he said, adding that all arrangements should be completed by Saturday evening.
He charged the officials to work in coordination and avoid any lapse in security, noting that the summit required tight security arrangements. Facilities such as barracks, canteens, kitchens and toilets were also revised.
More than 1,000 traffic police personnel will be deployed along with marshals to assist with diversions, roadblocks and parking. There will be a heavy police presence on marked routes to avoid congestion and road diversions will be in place for two days.
