
Next week’s Telangana Rising Global Summit near Hyderabad is expected to attract big names from the worlds of business, entertainment, sports, besides thought leaders and members of the diplomatic corps.
The two-day event, organized by the state government, will witness the signing of several contracts for projects across sectors with an estimated cumulative investment in the billions.
The list of big announcements is likely to include an LOI for Tata Consultancy Services’ $8 billion data center hypervault project with alternative asset management company TPG; Ajay Devgn Film Studio MoU for Film City; $100 million AI initiatives and Aqylon Nexus data center project and North Star Opportunities as well as a $100 million entertainment center with an urban beach at Bharat Future City of Crystal Lagoons and Green Panthers Properties.
Hyundai’s ₹800 crore test track and manufacturing facility in Zaheerabad; Mahindra and Mahindra’s 400 crore expansion in Zaheerabad; Phase II expansion of Apple supplier Foxconn, Wistron JV with Resolute for ₹1,000 crore project; Kaynes announces expansion, ₹1,500-crore R&D center for pharma firm MSN as well as ₹200-crore project for vaccine maker Biologicals E; Unilever new plant in Seetharampur; Lulu hypermall near the airport; and the Taiwan Mini Industrial Park near Kongarakalan is also likely to be on the list.
The summit is indeed poised to be a big event as the list of participants and projects is being clarified.
Leaders of well-known corporate groups from Anand Mahindra, Gautam Adani, Anant Ambani, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw of Biocon, Sindhu Gangadharan, Senior VP & MD SAP Labs India & Chairman Nasscom, MRF VC & MD Arun Mammen, CEO Adobe Shantanu Narayan, CEO Media Trump Media & CEO, Prem E Fairtswi Technology, CFO Prem Watswi Tariq Al Qassimi of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) and Royal Family, UAE and CEO Brahmos Jaiteerth R. Joshi confirmed attendance, government sources said.
Prominent names from the world of finance and economics who will be attending include SBI Chairman Challa Srinivasulu Setty, who hails from Telangana, former CEA Arvind Subramanian, Mio Oka, Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in India.
Organizers expect more than 1,000 global delegates and representatives from 500 companies at the summit on December 8-9 at Bharat Future City. Coinciding with two years of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s rule, the summit, trying to make the most of the opportunity, decided to unveil the visions of Telangana Rising 2047, including the future city he is proposing near Hyderabad.
Film and sports personalities Ajay Devgn, Priyadarshan, Rishab Shetty, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, PV Sindhu and Gagan Narang are expected to attend.
