Forest and Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre has assured that the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board (KKRDB) will approve a grant of ₹ 10 crore for the construction of a Buddhist cultural center at Andur village in Bidar district.
Address to the gathering after the opening of the Buddhist Conference on the 12th Anniversary of the Anand Bodhi Maha Stupa at Andur Buddha Vihar on 17 November. Mr. Khandre said the cultural center would be built after consultation with the relevant authorities on the architectural models of the Buddha Vihar either in Kalaburagi or Udgir in Maharashtra.
Emphasizing the importance of Buddhist teachings, Mr. Khandre said that following the principles of Gautama Buddha brings peace, harmony and stability in the society and in the life of every individual.
